Core Values
Grace Comes First
We are rooted in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Grace that’s freely given, not earned. We do not serve, repent, worship, or grow to prove ourselves to God. We do these things because in Christ we have already been loved, forgiven, and welcomed. Grace gives rest to the weary, brings renewal to the broken, and restoration to sinners.
Because grace is our root, we make decisions from security rather than fear. We can confess sin without hiding, receive correction without collapsing, rest without guilt, and serve without resentment.
A Home for Strugglers, Not a Showroom for the Put-Together
Grace Mosaic is a church for skeptics, seekers, and saints in progress. We want to be a community where people can be honest about sin, sorrow, doubt, and need. And where Jesus meets us with mercy and truth. You do not have to pretend here. We come to Christ as we are, and by grace he makes us new.
Because the church is a home for strugglers, we make decisions that move us toward honesty, patience, and burden-bearing. We make room at the table, ask better questions, welcome imperfect people, pursue the isolated, and walk patiently with one another.
Renewed People Become Sent People
We believe the grace of Jesus does more than comfort us; it renews us for the life of God’s kingdom. Christ restores weary hearts, fractured homes, ordinary work, and broken relationships. Then we’re sent as ambassadors of hope. Mission is not reserved for a few unusually gifted Christians. It is the shape of a renewed life.
Because renewed people become sent people, we make decisions that turn grace outward. Our homes, tables, schedules, vocations, friendships, and resources become instruments of Christ’s renewing work in the world.
Porch Lights, Not Spotlights
We are not trying to be impressive; we are seeking to be faithful. God has placed us in Far West San Antonio to be a steady, visible, welcoming presence in our neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and military communities. We show up with compassion, hospitality, mercy, and hope because Christ has moved toward us first.
Because we are porch lights, not spotlights, we choose faithful presence over platform, visibility, or applause. We learn names, notice needs, open our homes, serve without needing credit, and stay engaged in the places God has put us.
Sunday Sends Us into Monday
Worship is not an escape from ordinary life; it forms us for ordinary life. As we gather around God’s word, prayer, song, and the table, Christ sends us back into our homes, work, friendships, and neighborhoods as ambassadors of his kingdom. Mission is not only something we schedule. It is the shape of a life rooted in grace.
Because Sunday sends us into Monday, we make decisions that connect worship to the whole week. Our work becomes service, our homes become places of welcome, our money becomes a tool for generosity, our schedules become instruments of love, and our relationships become places of witness.
